Kennedy Pina, RS2LAB Intern, Successfully Presents Aquaponics Project with IoT in Final Course Work.

Kennedy Pina, a student in the Electrical Engineering program and an intern at RS2LAB, achieved a significant milestone today, March 25, by successfully defending his Final Course Work (FCW). His project, named “HortPeixe,” combines aquaponics and Internet of Things (IoT) to create an innovative monitoring system.

In addition to his academic distinction, Kennedy is the first intern from RS2LAB to defend his FCW and graduate as an electrical engineer, showcasing his commitment and skills.

Kennedy’s proposal aims to simplify the cultivation of plants and fish in aquaponics systems, using IoT sensors to collect data such as water temperature, pH, and oxygen levels. These pieces of information are processed in a remotely accessible control system, allowing farmers to monitor and adjust system conditions efficiently.
